ssc jen exam is conducted by staff selection commision of indian for the post of junior engineer for the various departments attached with ssc.intially the exam is conducted only for diploma engineering students but after year 2010 ssc also allowed engineering graduate students for ssc je exam. jen exam is taken for the post of junior engineer of civil ,mechancial and electrical therefore only three engineering streams students (civil,mechanical,electrical)are allowed to fill the form of ssc jen

Essential Education Qualification for SSC JEN Exam

1. Junior Engineer (Civil), CPWD B.E/B.tech/Diploma in civil engineering from recognized university or institute
2. Junior Engineer(Electrical) CPWD B.E/B.tech/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or Institute.
3. Junior Engineer (Civil), Department of Posts Three year diploma or equivalent in civil engineering from an institution recognised by central goverment or state goverment.
4. Junior engineer (civil),MES Degree in civil engineering from a recognised university
OR 1. three years diploma in civil engineering from a recognised institute or university.
2. Two year experience in planning,execution and maintenance of civil engineering works.
5. Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical ),MES Degree in Electrical of Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University OR

I)Three years Diploma in electrical & Mechanical Engineering from a recognised Institute or University or Board; and
(II) Two years experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Electrical or mechancial Engineering works.
6. Junior Engineer (Civil),Central Water Commission (CWC) Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from arecognised University or Institution
7. Junior Engineer(QS&C) MES (i)3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognised institute/University/Board or equivalent; OR
(ii) Passed Intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying Sub Divisional -II of the institute of Surveyors (India).
8. Junior Engineer (Civil and Mechanical), Central Water Commission Degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or Institution
9. Junior Engineer (Civil) in Farrakka Barrage Project Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised University or Institute
10. Junior Engineer (Mechanical) in Farrakka Barrage Project Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or Institute
11. Junior Engineer (Electrical) in Farrakka Barrage Project Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University or Institute
12. Junior Engineer (Civil) in Border Roads organisation,ministry of defence Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognised University or Institute.

Desirable Two years working experience in the field of civil construction in monitoring and executive of projects
