State PSC (Public Service commission) Examinations

State PSC is the one of the department of the Government who takes recruitment of Group A, B officers and gazatted officers. Some of engineering post like A.en (assistant Engineer), Sub inspector Motor vehicle, and polytechnic lecturer are recruited by Public service Commission. Every State has his Public Service Commission who is responsible for this kind of examination in their particular state.

In Rajasthan RPSC conduct state Engineering service Exam in every 2 years.

Rajasthan State Engineering Services, 2016 Exam will be conducted in two phases :-
1. Preliminary exam ( RPSC Assistant Pre written Test 2016 )
2. Main exam.


Preliminary Examination ( RPSC Assistant Pre written Test 2016 ) : Candidates have to appear in two papers at this stage. First paper (GK and concerning Rajasthan’s history, geography and culture) will likely be compulsory for all. Both question papers may have objective type questions. Second paper will likely be optional and candidates can select it according to their stream (Civil, Mechanical or maybe electrical). Both papers will become of 200 marks, 2 time each. Marks obtained in pre exam will never be added in final merit record. This stage marks will come to a decision qualification for main examination.

Main Examination: This exam will contains 4 papers. Out of these types of, 2 will be optional along with 2 compulsory. Paper 1(compulsory) will be of Hindi -100 marks, Report 2 (Compulsory) Social aspects along with applications of engineering of 100 Grades. Paper 3rd and 4th will be optional and candidatecan select as outlined by his/her trade. This paper will be of 200 Marks.

Personal Interview :The interview of selected candidates will likely be held to appoint them under various ministries of Govt. of Rajasthan on recommendation of commission. Only those candidates who have scored a minimum of 40% marks in both suggested papers and 35% in compulsory papers will likely be called for interview. Commission is not going to recommend for appointment of candidates who’ll not secure 50% in mixture (Main exam and Interview. )

1. A Candidate must appear in all the papers. There will be three papers, paper I will be objective type and II and III will be descriptive and a personality and viva-voce test. The name and the total marks and the time allowed for each paper will be as follows :-

Paper-I General Knowledge and Everyday Science 100 Marks, 2 Hrs.
Paper-II Language Test 100 Marks, 2 Hrs.
Paper-III Automobile and Mechanical Engineering 100 Marks, 3 Hrs.

2. Personality and Viva-Voce Examination :-

PAPER – I

I. Candidate who obtain such minimum qualifying mxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxarks in the written test as may be fixed by the Commission in their discretion shall be         summoned by them for interview, which carries 50 Marks.
II. The standard of the papers will be that of a secondary/Polytechnic Diploma.
III. All papers unless specifically require shall be answered either in English or Hindi, but no candidate shall be permitted to answer any one paper partly in Hindi or partly in English unless speafically allowed to do so.
IV. If a candidate's hand-writing is not easily legible a deduction will be made on this account from the total marks otherwise accruing to him.
V. Credit will be given for orderly, effective and exact expression combined with due economy of words in all descriptive papers of the examination.

I.C. ENGINE TESTING AND PERFORMANCE :

Perfomance Parameters, Finding of I.H.P., B.H.P., F.H.P. by Noise Test, Method of finding BHP by Dynamometrs, Mechanical, Thermal, Volume tric, Air Standard and Relative Efficiency of I.C. Engines. Heat Balance Sheet, ISI Rating of I.C. Engines. Combustion Phenomenon in SI and CI Engines, Surface Ignition, Knocking or Detonation, Octane and cetane rating. Measurement fo Exhaust smoke and Exhaust emission.

AUTOMOBILE VEHICLES :

Classification, Components and their function, Layout of Chesis and its allignment, Alternative arrangements used in respect of engine Position, Front Wheel, Rear Wheel drives and 4-Wheel drives.

WHEEL AND TYRES :

Types of wheels, types of tyres. tyre specifications, importance of maintaining tyre pressure. Tyre troubles and repair. Tyre retreading.

MISCELLANEOUS :

Driving Inspection and Road Testing of Autovehicles. Road worthiness requirements of Auto Vehicles, Important provisions of Motor Vehicle act and Rules.

PERSONALITY AND VIVA-VOCE EXAMINATION :

Candidates who obtain such minimum qualifying marks in the written examination as may be fixed by the commission in their discretion, shall be summoned by the commission for personality and Viva-Voce Examination. The commission shall award marks to candidates interviewed by them, having regard to his character, personality, address, physique and knowledge of Rajasthan Culture. The marks so awarded shall be added to marks obtained by each candidate in the written examination.
